The newer streets are the same first-generation slab construction going in everywhere along the US-75 corridor, with a foundation still settling in expansive clay and gaps opening at the slab edge and weep holes. US-75 runs along the western side of town, 27 miles south of Denison and about fifty north of Dallas.
